MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday expressed support for embattled actress Katrina Halili in her fight against her former lover, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hayden Kho, and the spread of videos of their intimate moments in both cyberspace and local pirated DVD stalls.

“The PNP will offer or give assistance to those in need of investigation, those who are filing complaints, and those who are in need of security,” PNP Director General Jesus Verzosa said in an interview.

At the same time, Verzosa said the PNP would be coordinating closely with the Optical Media Board in the possible confiscation of pirated DVDs showing Kho’s steamy scenes with Halili and another woman sold in underground markets.

Although no request for security has been made by Halili’s camp, Verzosa said they were willing to provide if the situation calls for it.

“The PNP will attend to any concern or complaint. We do not discriminate. If there is a complaint we investigate, and if there is a request for security and request for investigation, we will investigate,” Verzosa said.

Public attention has been focused on Halili after sex videos showing her with Kho spread this week. Halili has since sought the help of Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. and the National Bureau of Investigation on the matter.
